Full-Scale Solutions
Dismantling Complexity, One Section at a Time
Sublatus facilitated the complete deconstruction of a former Gas Plant, located in Central Alberta. By leveraging our technical expertise, strategic sequencing, and specialized equipment, we completed the demolition and removal of all above-ground infrastructure, including vessels, buildings, stacks, and processing equipment.

The Numbers
A High-Volume Operation Executed With Precision
This large-scale deconstruction project required careful resource coordination, precise heavy machinery operation, and on-site sequencing across seven distinct zones. Some key figures from the work we performed include:
How We Work
Consistent Execution Across Seven Sections

Scope of Work
Sublatus was tasked with the dismantling of a large, aging gas plant under strict safety and environmental compliance requirements. The scope included the complete decommissioning and removal of key process infrastructure, including the incinerator stack. Due to structural instability, the stack removal required a non-traditional takedown method, planned and executed with precision to ensure the safety of personnel and protection of surrounding assets.

Our Approach
The site was divided into seven operational zones to maximize sequencing and maintain efficiency. Our crews used a combination of hydraulic shears, torching, and heavy equipment to safely deconstruct vessels, buildings, and compressors. To fell the incinerator stack, shape charges were used to sever a key anchor cable, allowing for a safe, controlled fall and subsequent demolition.

The Results
Final site work included slab stabilization and sump fill-in to ensure a safe and level grade. After shipping out and disposing of all oversized scrap, processed recyclable materials, and remaining waste, the project was completed on time, under budget, and without incident.
